Bộ Công Thương cho biết, dù tình hình kinh tế còn nhiều khó khăn, Tập đoàn Công nghiệp Than - Khoáng sản Việt Nam (Vinacomin) vẫn đạt được kế hoạch đề ra.
Tính đến nay, than sạch khai thác của toàn ngành ước đạt 36,6 triệu tấn, tương đương cùng kỳ năm 2013. Trong đó, than xuất khẩu đạt 5,67 triệu tấn, than tiêu thụ nội địa đạt 25,45 triệu tấn, tăng 27,3% so với cùng kỳ.
Vinacomin cũng đã nỗ lực duy trì sản xuất ổn định, tích cực đầu tư chuẩn bị cho nhu cầu than tăng cao trong thời gian tới, đặc biệt là than cho sản xuất điện.
