Đẩy mạnh cổ phần hóa doanh nghiệp ngành giao thông
Năm 2014, Bộ GTVT đã triển khai cổ phần hóa (CPH) 41 DN, đơn vị sự nghiệp, đạt 152% kế hoạch năm, trong đó có 3 công ty mẹ - tổng công ty: Hàng hải Việt Nam, Cảng hàng không Việt Nam, Công nghiệp tàu thủy, và 38 công ty thuộc Bộ và các tổng công ty.
Đối với các DN do các Tổng Công ty Hàng hải Việt Nam, Đường sắt Việt Nam thực hiện, Bộ GTVT đã chỉ đạo 2 tổng công ty thực hiện CPH 12 DN thành viên. Năm 2015, Bộ GTVT yêu cầu trong quý I, các đơn vị phải tập trung hoàn thành việc thoái vốn tại các đơn vị đã CPH; xây dựng kế hoạch chuyển các đơn vị sự nghiệp công lập sang công ty CP. Cùng với đó, tập trung hoàn thành CPH Bệnh viện GTVT, Tổng Công ty Hàng hải Việt Nam, Tổng Công ty Cảng hàng không Việt Nam, Tổng Công ty Đường sắt; tập trung CPH Tổng Công ty Đầu tư phát triển đường cao tốc Việt Nam và Tổng Công ty Đầu tư phát triển và Quản lý dự án hạ tầng giao thông Cửu Long.
